"One of the worst days in America's history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans' history. We'll always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice."

           -- George W. Bush

2,996 lives were lost due to the terrorist attacks committed on September 11th, 2001. In its aftermath, countries around the world continue to face this common enemy. In spite of this tragedy, we continue to stand resilient. We will remain headstrong in our efforts to combat fear and terrorism, while also remembering those who have fallen in the fight. The purpose of this 9/11 Memorial Run is to remember those lost on that fateful day while reminding the NC State and local community of 9/11’s impact on our nation and world.

The 9/11 Memorial Run consists of a short memorial service followed by a campus run. See the Event Details tab for a description of this year’s events.
