A Run To Remember

#Resilience

On September 11th, 2001 the United States of America endured its longest day.

The NC State 9/11 Memorial Run exists to remember those killed in the attacks. It reflects on the victims, their families, the first responders, and the military personnel who answered the call to keep us safe.  This event is also a celebration of American resilience in the face of fear. It gives us an opportunity to participate in a community event that inspires both hope and patriotism while bringing us closer together.

The 9 /11 Memorial Run @  NC State was founded in 2016 by members of the NROTC program. The students felt called to create a day of remembrance for the community to come together to honor the nearly 3,000 victims of these attacks and pay tribute to all those who risked their lives to save others. This run recognizes the thousands of survivors as well as those who supported their families in the aftermath.

Our hope is that you will join us on this very special day as we come together as one to honor all those effected by the events that occurred on September 11th.

"May the lives remembered, the deeds recognized, and the spirit reawakened be eternal beacons, which reaffirm respect for life, strengthen our resolve to preserve freedom, and inspire an end to hatred, ignorance and intolerance." - 9/11 Memorial & Museum
